All Access Indoor Baseball Practice DVD

Baseball Videos offers this instructional baseball practice DVD set with Dr. Dirk Baker, Worcester State University Head Coach. Dr. Dirk Baker and his staff give you three full days of focused, up-beat, competitive indoor baseball practices. Coach Baker keeps the pace going while keeping the players in sync to maximize every minute and reduce wasted practice time.

1st Training Day - DVD 1

Like in all sports, Day 1 begins with a warm-up routine to help prevent injury and get the players bodies moving and ready to go. This full body warm-up includes dynamic, plyometric and static movement along with some specialized throwing drills. These throwing drills will add the skills your players need without adding increased time to your practice runs.

Training Day 1 also reviews the practice session. In that Coach Baker will show you different physical and mental aspects that go into the mechanics of pitching. His staff will also give position defense routines, “dry” swing hitting routines, game-situation bunt defense, base running and more.

2nd Training Day - DVD 2

- Warm up your player with base running drills.
- Throwing that is incorporated from position specific locations.
- Avoiding The Tag and Techniques for Sliding into Bases
- Infield throwing drill using 2 balls will help players with throwing accuracy and quick feet. Your players will learn to instinctively make the routine play.
- Help advance your base runners with situational batting practice.

Pitching Coach Neal Portnoy shares his experience being a pitcher and his philosophy of pitching. His demonstrates how to create a player that can pitch not just throw the ball hard. A pitcher should develop focus, speed, strength and agility to get his team through the game.

3rd Training Day - DVD 3

On training day 3 Coach Baker and his team create stations. These stations are skill specific and are 20 minutes long. Players can rotate through as the day goes along. The stations will use short vision and focus drills to improve concentration. They will work on specific live hitting situations, specific bunting areas, top and bottom hand hitting drills, and work on your teams rhythm at the plate all while at the offensive station. The drills and concepts behind all these skills are demonstrated in detail by Coach Baker and his team.

Weight training is also a big part of building a solid baseball player. It allows their body to be as strong, fit and agile as it needs to be to play their position well. Coach Baker shares an in-depth look at his Worchester baseball teams weight lifting program. This program is a full body weight lifting series and the workout lasts 20-30 minutes. It ends with pitching coach Neal Portnoy showing a video analysis that breaks down the Worchester pitchers and hitters.

This DVD series is helpful for any level baseball player and team. Coach Baker and his staff show you effective ways to get the best out of your players using your practice time in the most efficient way. This is an indoor practice that is safe and high energy.
